Luiz Paulo Baravelli (São Paulo, 1942) is a Brazilian draftsman, painter, engraver and sculptor.
He began studying painting and drawing with Wesley Duke Lee and during this period began to portray live models, a method that he continues to this day.
In 1971, it appeared for the first time, in a group exhibition at the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MAM). The following year, close to national recognition, he participated, with a special room, in the Brasil Plástica 72 exhibition, at the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, awarded the Acquisition Prize.
In 1979 he conceived the oil on canvas At the museum. The painting, which is now in the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art, was donated to the museum by the artist himself. In the museum it is seen as one of the most interesting and relevant paintings in Baravelli's entire work.
He began studying painting and drawing with Wesley Duke Lee and during this period began to portray live models, a method that he continues to this day.
