DESCRIPTION:
In the Formigueiros Series, instead of previously determining the product to be designed, we start from the unknown shape to the objects. The name of the studio guided the search in an ant colony. The result were pieces that arise from the contemplation of the extracted shapes.
During this project, molten aluminum was deposited in anthills that acted as natural molds for the shapes extracted from the ground.
From the contemplation of these sculptures, we developed a series of unique objects by complementing them with resin and solid brass
The project had great repercussion, winning the MADE award and generating repercussion in both the national and international media.
