In 2016, Rudi Sebastian was elected Wildlife Photographer of the Year by the Natural History Museum in London with one of the images included in a series dedicated to Lençóis Maranhenses, in the Brazilian state of Maranhão. Also with images captured in Brazil, more specifically in the Amazon, Rudi Sebastian was among the finalists of the Sony World Photography Awards in 2015.
