Roman Robroek
My name is Roman, I'm an award-winning urban photographer. Born and raised in the charming south of the Netherlands. I take unique photos of not so well known abandoned places. It is the area of 'Urban' Photography.
When I started my journey into urban photography, I mainly saw empty, abandoned and decaying buildings. It didn't take long for curiosity to hit me. What was the story behind these buildings? Who lived there? What purpose did these objects serve and why were they abandoned? This curiosity created a close bond between urban photography and I have since visited many beautiful locations around the world. The opportunity to take a peek behind closed doors is a truly unique experience, relaxing and enticing at the same time. I immerse myself in the surroundings, but I also watch my every step and listen carefully to every sound trying not to attract attention.
I specialize in exclusively capturing interiors and exteriors of a variety of buildings, cultural heritage sites and monuments working with natural light only.
