Fernando Durão

Fernando Manuel da Costa Durão (Porto, Portugal 1952). Painter, draftsman, illustrator, graphic designer, photographer, art critic and photography critic. He studied printing design in 1966 and, in 1968, decorative painting, at Escola Soares dos Reis, in Porto, Portugal. He came to Brazil in 1970, settling in São Paulo in 1972; studies machine design and interior decoration at Escola Pró-Tec. In 1976, he directed the 21st Century Art Gallery. In the 1980s, he became a photography critic at Folha da Tarde ; designs and manages Banco do Brasil art galleries; and launches the engraving album 10 Contemporâneos , at Espaço Cultural Chap Chap.
