Antonio Peticov, one of the precursors of Brazilian psychedelism, transforms the ordinary into extraordinary. The artist is a super creative genius who almost needs no introduction. It goes from painting to music in two moments.
His colorful work is populated with geometric, surreal and abstracting elements. Even after failing mathematics five times at school, Antonio Peticov does not create a picture without the logic of mathematics and physics.
His exuberant and extensive CV, a reference in global contemporary culture, ranges from painting to sculpture, including installations, books, posters and album covers.
Antonio Peticov has lived in London, Milan and New York, participated in biennials in São Paulo, was part of numerous Brazilian avant-garde movements, such as Tropicalismo, and was one of those responsible for the emergence of the band Os Mutantes.
