Diego Baravelli

Diego Baravelli has a very critical and refined geographic and social vision, reflecting the cultural contrasts of the places he has visited. Graduated in Geography, he has worked as a professional photographer for 7 years. From small lost tribes, archipelagos in Panama to great navigations through the Amazon, suddenly moving to world capitals such as Berlin, New York and São Paulo. He worked on projects with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport, Federal Universities such as Brasilia and Tocantins, Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica. Projects with Wiki Educação Brasil (an organization that works alongside Wikipedia in Brazil) and work as a photojournalist illustrate publications in outlets such as National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal, Greenpeace, Folha de São Paulo, G1, El Pais and O Globo. Currently, he is dedicated to authorial documentary projects seeking to combine landscape photography and more humanitarian photography, thus contextualizing not only the natural beauty of our planet, but also the beauty of the people who live on it.
